Are We Ready For Economic Meltdown?

01.19.2008 | 8:32 am | finance, loan, mortgage, recession

Is any country ever ready for economic meltdown? I don’t think so. The economy is falling into a flat spin with the Fed last week stating that the Recession could be long-term and severe…. Long-term and Severe! Jeesz, obviously could’nt say the “D” Word but it sure as heck sounds like Depression to me.

In Australia, across the Pacific, the sharemarket has not had such a losing streak of 10 consecutive days. My feeling is that Monday the 21st of January, will be known as Black Monday with more panicked shareholders rushing the bank and getting out as quick as they can. Unfortunately, property however, is no longer the safe haven for investors when they dump their shares and run… So where do you put your money?

The economies of the world are melting down and it’s happening so fast that everyone has been caught by surprise. Do what you can to restructure your assets into the safe investments, but do something! Inaction will see a huge amount of your wealth sucked down the biggest black hole most of us can ever remember.
